HMW Polyethylene PE 500
Engineering polyethylene with a molecular weight higher than PE 300, developed to offer greater resistance to impact, abrasion and wear. It combines good rigidity, mechanical damping, very low moisture absorption and excellent sliding properties. It is an economical alternative to ultra-high-molecular-weight PE 1000 for moderate-wear applications, guides, drive components and machined parts. Its chemical resistance, good weldability and ease of machining make it suitable for the mechanical, chemical, food, paper and port industries.

Note: 100% recyclable material, available in virgin and reprocessed versions (black marbled, reddish marbled, black confetti and multicolor confetti). Polyethylene grades (PE 300 / PE 500 / PE 1000) are distinguished by their density and molecular weight. In engineering plastics, composition is identified by the base polymer, the process and its modifications, not by chemical percentages as with steels.
