Teflon (PTFE)

Non-stick, chemically inert fluoropolymer

Teflon (PTFE), or polytetrafluoroethylene, is a high-performance fluoropolymer with unique properties for extreme conditions. It offers the lowest coefficient of friction of any solid material, is completely non-stick, chemically inert and withstands an exceptional range of −260 to 260 °C. It does not absorb water and is an excellent electrical insulator, ideal for the chemical, oil, electrical, pharmaceutical and food industries.

Main features
Lowest coefficient of friction of any solid material, fully non-stick
Chemically inert; resists virtually all chemicals and does not absorb water
Exceptional temperature range of −260 to 260 °C; excellent electrical insulator
