Lubricant applicators
Lubricant applicators are mechanical devices designed to increase and maintain contact of the dry soap with the wire surface before it passes through the die. Their spring-loaded system clamps around the wire and promotes more consistent lubricant pickup during wire drawing.
They are especially recommended for mechanically descaled wire rod and lines where the wire starts to come out bright, a sign of insufficient lubrication. They can be installed in the first box to establish a good lubricant film, in every box of a multi-pass machine, or only in the stages that show problems.
