Nylon AL red
Engineering nylon 6 made by a casting process and incorporating a system of solid and liquid lubricants that lowers its coefficient of friction to approximately 0.08. It offers excellent sliding properties, high wear resistance and a good balance between mechanical strength and impact resistance. It is specifically designed for making bushings, bearings and sliding components subject to heavy loads, higher speeds and demanding operating temperatures. Its built-in lubrication reduces maintenance and allows operation with little or no external lubrication, making it a lightweight, machinable alternative to bronze, aluminum and other metals.

Note: The integrated lubricant system lowers the coefficient of friction to ≈ 0.08. PA 6 C and PA 6 G identify cast polyamide 6 (not to be confused with nylon 6/6 or PA 66). In engineering plastics, composition is identified by the base polymer, the process and its modifications, not by chemical percentages as with steels.
