UHMW Polyethylene PE 1000

UHMWPE with maximum abrasion and impact resistance

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (PE 1000) offers the highest abrasion and impact resistance in the entire polyethylene family, with a minimum coefficient of friction and excellent sliding properties. It is up to 8 times lighter than steel, absorbs no moisture, withstands very low temperatures, and is suitable for food contact (FDA); it can be supplied with an antistatic additive. Its toughness, chemical resistance, and ease of machining make it ideal for severe wear, guides, gears, rollers, and conveyor components in the mechanical, chemical, food, paper, and port industries.
